Beauty Tips For Women

Feeling Good With The Outer Self

A quick glance at the paper or TV shows that beauty tips for women are part of an enormous industry targeting women and their purses.

It is natural for a woman to want to look beautiful and attractive, regardless of her age.

In The Eye Of The Beholder?
But since the human eye is so prone to judging beauty based on what is seen on the outside, it is often forgotten that being beautiful also comes from the inside.

Ultimately beauty is not just external – skin deep. Real beauty lies within the person – their character, personality and sense of awareness of others. Sure a pretty face helps, but you can be beautiful to the people who love you regardless of your looks.

Maintaining beauty is also a matter of health – e.g. nothing destroys your looks like excess sun exposure and smoking.

In addition, exercise and a healthy well balanced diet is critical to maintaining a healthy looking and health-filled body, face included.

Enhancing What You Have And What Your Are
Your physical appearance is the first thing that people notice when they see you. Your ‘beauty’ is then often judged by how great your skin, face, or hair looks.

Deep down you know this is misleading – right? However, this doesn’t stop you enhancing your ‘look’ with cosmetics and hairstyles.

Beauty Aids Or Substitutes?
And, that is OK – so long as your sense of self-worth does not depend on them. If they boost your self-confidence OK – but not if they are the only way you can feel good about yourself.

Given that – then go for it – take advantage of the great products available for make-up, personal grooming, clothing and hairstyles out there.

As few of us have things like perfect skin, then make-up and creams can cover or cure problems that detract from our preferred look.

Just remember that diet and exercise play a large part in having glowing skin, shiny hair and great shape.

You Are What You Eat
Eating a healthy and balanced diet is always the first step to being beautiful and its foundation.. What you eat is reflected in how you look (and how you feel) therefore eat lots of fruit and vegetables.

Maintain a good intake of fluids as this helps in flushing out the toxins in your body. Make sure your exercise is regular and try to get plenty of rest and sleep…. which isn’t easy in day and age.

A Smile Goes A Long Way
We all have met someone who you think is beautiful – and it often has nothing to do with their ‘look’. They just make you feel good – by their spirit of goodness shining through.

Likewise – your own beauty is enhanced, or more apparent by the way you relate and treat other people. Try to always have a positive attitude and avoid negativity while being supportive of others.

Love and laugh often. And, this is OK - be nice to yourself and pamper yourself from time to time. It can be a great stress reliever.

The Cost Of Beauty

Caveat Emptor (Buyer Beware)
Having a good skin regime along with carefully applied make-up will help, as well as doing all of the above.

But there are many expensive products and beauty tips constantly being put up as “the” answer to all beauty needs. In many cases, less expensive ones are just as good – learn to be discerning, and, also do not get the latest fad cosmetic or hair color and so on.

Many women prefer to use all natural skin products and all natural cosmetics as they become more aware of the different ingredients and toxic chemicals found in some products.

Of course as we age and at different stages we always need to review the products we use and change these as our skin tone and texture changes.

Many women still feel they have imperfections and will also look at surgical and non-surgical treatments to enhance their appearance. Surgical treatments may include a face lift, eye-lift, breast enhancement, tummy tuck etc.

Non-Surgical (which is safer and less intrusive) includes treatments such as skin laser treatment (of which there are many different types including Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) and Fraxel Laser Treatment), botox, derma-fillers, liposuction (for fat removal), skin peels, etc.

Today there are many other beauty tips for women and we will cover some of these in more detail as separate topics.

Finally, be practical - always remember to remove your make-up before going to bed at night, using skin care that is correct for your skin also go hand in hand with beauty tips.
